During the operation of the metal stamping die, it is very necessary to do a good job of protection. It is necessary to carry out serious and patient maintenance work, so as to ensure the safety and usability of the stamping connection die.

The following is a further understanding of the protection of stamping connection dies.

1. Maintenance of punch and die

When disassembling the male and female molds, attention should be paid to the original condition of the mold, so that it can be easily restored during subsequent mold installation. If there is pad displacement, the thickness of the pad should be engraved on the part and recorded.

When replacing the punch, it is necessary to test whether the ejection block is inserted, whether the die is smooth, and whether the gap between the insert and the die is uniform; when changing the die, it is also necessary to test whether the gap between the insert and the punch is uniform.

In view of the shortening of the punch after repairing and grinding the punch, a gasket needs to be added to achieve the required length. Check whether the length of the punch is sufficient; when replacing the broken punch, the factors should be identified.

After the punch, die and die core are assembled, check whether the care belt is installed incorrectly or reversely, whether the die and die pad are installed reversely, whether the blanking hole is blocked, whether the new parts need to be stolen, and whether the stolen materials are sufficient. Whether the locking part of the mold is locked.

Pay attention to confirm whether the release screw is locked. When locking, it should be balanced and cross-locked from the inside to the outside. It is not allowed to lock one screw first and then the other screw, to avoid the stripper plate tilting and the punch breaking, reducing the precision of the mold.

2. Maintenance of the unloader

To remove the trip unit, use the two pullers to pry it up, then balance the trip unit with both hands. When it is difficult to remove the mold, you should check whether the mold is clean, whether the locking screw is completely removed, whether the mold is damaged due to sticky materials, find out the reason, and then deal with it accordingly. It cannot be handled blindly.

When assembling the release, the punch and ejector should be cleaned first, the guide post and the guide punch should be lubricated and put in place smoothly, and the hands should be pressed into place, repeating several times. If it is too tight, find out the reasons (whether the guide post and guide sleeve are normal, whether various parts are damaged, whether the new punch can pass smoothly, whether the release device is in the correct position), and then deal with it accordingly.

If there are pressure blocks above the fixing plate, check that the yield position above the peel back plate is adequate. After a long time of stamping, the material contact surface between the stripper and the mold will be indented. When the indentation is serious, it will affect the stamping accuracy of the material, resulting in abnormally unstable product dimensions. Therefore, it is necessary to repair or regrind the stripper insert and stripper. The accuracy of the contour sleeve should be checked. When the ejector height is not equal, it will tilt the ejector, destroy its precise guidance and stable elastic compression function, and it must be maintained.

3. Check guides

The clearance between the guide post and the guide sleeve should be checked for burns and wear marks, and whether the oil guide state of the mold is normal. Due to the wear and accuracy of the guides, the accuracy of the mold will be reduced, and problems will occur in all parts of the mold. Proper maintenance and regular replacement are required.

Check the rails for accuracy. If the guide pin is worn and loses its proper guiding accuracy and function, the guide pin must be replaced. Check the condition of the release springs and ejector springs to see if they are broken, or if they have been in use for a long time but have lost their original strength due to fatigue. Therefore, maintenance and replacement must be carried out regularly, otherwise the mold will be damaged or the production will not be smooth.

4. Adjustment of die gap

Due to the frequent combination of mold cores, the positioning holes of the mold cores are worn, resulting in excessive clearance after assembly (looseness after assembly) or uneven clearance (positioning deviation). Therefore, after blanking, proper clearance adjustment can be made by checking the section condition. The smaller the gap, the smaller the section; the larger the gap, the larger the section and the larger the burr, and a reasonable gap can be obtained by shifting. Records should be made after adjustment, and the tail of the master mold can also be marked for subsequent maintenance.
