There are many varieties of metal molds, and we can classify them according to their different properties, so as to better understand the metal molds. Let's take a look at the three classification methods of metal stamping dies: According to the classification of the mold processing technology, the hardware automobile mold inspection tools can be divided into:

1. A blanking die is a metal die that separates materials along a closed or open contour. Such as blanking dies, punching dies, cutting dies, cutting dies, edge trimming dies, cutting dies, etc. 2. A zigzag die is a stamping die that bends a blank or other blank along a straight line (zigzag line) to obtain a workpiece with a certain viewpoint and shape.

3. The deep drawing die is a metal die that makes the blank into an open hollow part, which may further change the shape and size of the hollow part.

4. The forming mold is a mold that directly imitates and forms a blank or semi-finished product according to the shape of the punch and punch in the figure, and the material itself only produces partial plastic deformation. Such as bulging die, shrinking die, flaring die, corrugated forming die, flanging die, forming die, etc.

According to the classification of the degree of process combination, the metal mold can be divided into: 1. The mold only completes one stamping process in one punch stroke.

2. The compound die only needs one station, and in one punch stroke, the die can complete two or more punching processes at the same time.

3. The progressive die ((also called continuous die)) has two or more workbenches in the feeding direction of the blank. In one stroke of the press, the die completes two or more punching processes in succession on different stations.

According to the classification of the typical structure of the mold, the metal stamping mold can be divided into:

1. Process parts: it directly participates in the completion of processing and directly touches the blank, including working parts, positioning parts, unloading and stamping parts, etc.

2. Structural parts: These parts do not directly participate in the process of completing the process, nor do they directly touch the blank.

They only play the role of ensuring the completion of the mold process or improving the function of the mold, including guides, fasteners, standard parts, etc. It should be pointed out that not all dies need to have the above six parts, especially single-process dies, but working parts and necessary fixed parts are essential.
